About the Gallery

Established in 2006, Something Unexpected Art Gallery is dedicated to the promotion of national and international contemporary artists.  The Gallery's objective is to bring a diverse range of contemporary art to it's client base.  The Gallery offers the client an incredible opportunity to acquire art from some of the most renown as well as fresh artisans in the contemporary, international art market.

Something Unexpected Art Gallery is located in Nyack, New York.  Nyack is a residential community located on the west shore of the Hudson River just 25 miles North of New York City.  Known for its antiques, fine restaurants, and multicultural community, Nyack is a small town with a cosmopolitan flavor.

Aurelija Cepulinskaite , Gallery Director, Brings to the Gallery over 10 years of experience as a photojournalist and as an artist.Her photographs have bought her international acclaim and recognition, including awards for her photographic works.  Aurelija is an established photographer with hands on experience in working with various art galleries in Europe and artists throughout Europe and is now expanding her vision for a contemporary Art Gallery Something Unexpected.

Gustavo Jara, Exhibition Coordinator, Mr. Jara completed his undergraduate degree at Columbia University and subsequently pursued further studies at the New York Institute of Technology earning a BS degree in Architecture.  Gustavo's experience in Architecture supports the gallery's mission.  He is involved with with event planning, coordination and logistics of the gallery.  He has traveled extensively throughout U.S. and Europe.

Ligia Jara, PR Coordinator, has previously worked in retail and her involvement with local merchants and business people is a driving force for the gallery.

The Art Gallery is dedicated to serving both artists and collectors and offers a wide spectrum of art programs:

  •  Gallery's Exhibitions - Exhibitions highlighting selected gallery artists.

  • Private Art Presentations at client’s office, residence or in the gallery.

  • Art Leasing Programs customized for corporations and private collectors are available.

  • Art Expositions - Something Unexpected Art Gallery has participated in art expositions and fairs such as "The Nyack Art Walk"

  • Customized framing available to both the artist and the collector.
  • Photographic service.
