The
jewelry contains a particularly wide spectrum of technologies and materials.
Technologies here means “domesticating” such cold and hard substances as metal,
stone, gemstone, etc. Also technologies contribute in searching for enamel
combinations and fusion of various materials.
The value of a jewellery piece depends on the originality of the concept and intensity of its influence and these are the criteria art pieces are judged by. The conceptual jewellery is distinguished by the novelty of the concept in terms of material, trade, miniature format and closeness to a body.
The artist ‘s group BALTOS KANDYS (WHITE MOTHS) was founded while its members were still studying at the Vilnius Academy of Fine Arts (VAFA) in 1998.
