Aurelija Cepulinskaite : Green Mirage

19 – February 19, 2008Something Unexpected gallery presents Green Mirage, a solo exhibition of recent works by the Lithuanian artist Aurelija Cepulinskaite.
Aurelija‘s works examines the recurring themes of time, memory, nature‘s explotation for the art and artist‘s imagination. The works are done in the famous Open –Air Museum of the Centre of Europe (Lithuania), located in the geographic center of Europe.
Her works are rooted in her experience of travel to remote and diverse parts of the world.
It will include a group of large color photographs. These works will be on show in the USA for the first time.
Aurelija Cepulinskaite born in 1974 in Trakai, Lithaunia,
currently lives in New York, and graduated from the Kaunas Technology University in 1997.She has participated in numerous exhibitions and got awards at many institutions around the world, including
FIAP gold medal in Mundid Photofestival ( Rovinj, Croatia), Diploma in 3rd International Art Photography Exhibition Vallombrosa Abbey, (Florence, Italy), Plaquitte of Jaszkun Photo Club, Hungary, DVF (APA) Golden Medal in Hertener Photosalon (Hertener, Germany). Her artworks are in many other fine institutions, private collectors around the world.
